When we truly love our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ it will also prove to the world that we know and love God. When an individual truly love the Lord, their actions will match what they say with their mouth. The apostle John makes it clear to us in his epistle that if any man habitually sins he does not truly know or love God. He also stresses the fact that love is the true test of a vital relationship with the Father. “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments, He who says I know Him and does not keep His commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps His word truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him” (1 John 2:3-5).
