The bridegroom is symbolic of Jesus who is coming back to unite with the bride (the Church). The marriage of the bride (Church) is with Jesus (Bridegroom) because He’s the only being that can come into intimate and perfect union with a human bride (Church). You see He’s not just the Son of God; He’s the Son of man.
